Dr. Akshita Singh completed her MBBS from the reputed BJ Medical College in Pune, 2004. She received her DNB in General Surgery from the PD Hinduja Hospital and Medical Research Centre, Mumbai in 2010. She received her HBNI for fellowship in Breast Surgical Oncology at the Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai in 2013. She went on to complete her MRCS from The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2015. Dr. Ankita Singh has worked in Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai for over 5 years in various capacities in the Department of Surgical Oncology. As a confident and proficient breast oncology surgeon, she independently handles both outpatient services as well as operation theatres. She has also been associated with three institutional review board-approved clinical and translational research projects as co-investigator, other than screening, counseling and monitoring patients. Dr. Ankita Singh is also actively involved in basic and translational research as part of the Translational Research Laboratory and Clinical Scientist Laboratory over the past 3 years. Her work involves evaluating the similarity/dissimilarity between primary and metastatic tumors, aberrant expression of immunohistochemical markers in tumors, estimation of circulating DNA in plasma samples.
