Expertise

• Dr. Kaustubh is a seasoned surgical oncologist, and his expertise lies in thyroid-parathyroid-salivary gland surgeries and organ-preserving surgeries for mandible (jaw) & larynx (voice box), including TOLS (Trans Oral Laser Surgery) in complex situations.
• He also has experience in performing robotic surgeries for the management of oropharyngeal, laryngeal & thyroid tumours.
• Dr. Kaustubh has a special interest in performing surgeries for thyroid & parathyroid tumours as well as salivary gland tumours.
• He has developed a special technique ( MAARSH ) addressing Composite Resections without Lip split.
• He attends about 2400 cases every year.

Training and Certifications

• Dr. Kaustubh has received advanced training in Head & Neck Oncology under ISHNO (Indian Society of Head & Neck Oncology) Fellowship from Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Centre (MSKCC), New York, USA.
• He has also received Trans Oral Robotic Surgery (TORS) training from Dr Weinstein at the Hospital of University of Pennsylvania, USA.
• He has received Transoral Laser Surgery (TOLS) training under Dr Peretti at University of Brescia, Italy.

• Dr. Kaustubh has won many awards for the best presentation & best paper at several national and international conferences including UICC.
• He is the Founder Secretary of G-SHNO (Gujarat Society of Head & Neck Oncology).
  He has also served as the President of FHNO (Foundation of Head & Neck Oncology) & current Governing Council member.
• Pioneer & Chairman of National H&N Fellowship Program ( FHNO Institutional Fellowship )
• He has also published the world’s first Coffee Table Book on Head & Neck Cancer Winners known as “10/10” and public awareness book in Gujarati ‘Tame Ekla Nathi’.
