About Dr. Pankaj Shrivastav

A pioneer in Reproductive Medicine with nearly 32 years of experience and expertise, Dr Shrivastav moved to Dubai in 1991 upon the invitation of the Government of Dubai. He was pivotal in establishing the UAE’s first Fertility Unit, the Dubai Gynaecology and Fertility Centre (DGFC), where he served as Deputy
Director for 13 years. Under his leadership, the centre celebrated the birth of its first IVF babies in July 1992 and saw the arrival of over 2000 babies during his tenure. He presently leads ‘Conceive’ – The Gynaecology & Fertility Hospital in Sharjah, established in 2004 and offers a wide range of fertility treatments.
Dr Shrivastav completed his medical studies at Christian Medical College, Vellore, India. He then advanced his training in the UK, where he became a Member of the Royal College and underwent specialised training in fertility treatments. In 2001, he was honoured with a Fellowship from The Royal College of London in Obstetrics
and Gynaecology (FRCOG). Throughout his illustrious career, Dr Shrivastav has devised innovative techniques in fertility medicine, including pioneering work in Ovarian Hyperstimulation and Surgical Retrieval of Sperm (PESA and TeSA) methods now routinely employed globally. His collaborations include a research
study with Yale University, culminating in the book “Cosmopolitan Conceptions IVF Sojourns in Global Dubai.” A respected voice in the field, he has conducted workshops, lectured internationally, and contributed to multiple publications. He is an active member of associations like ESHRE and ASRM. In acknowledgement of his invaluable work, India awarded him the esteemed “Hind Rattan” Award.
