About Dr. Sai Vivek V

Dr. Sai Vivek is an experienced oncologist currently working as Consultant Medical and Hemato Oncologist at Aster Hospitals, Bangalore. With close to 6 years of experience in the field of oncology, Dr .Vivek has a keen interest in solid organ and blood cancers in adults and children, precision oncology immunotherapy, preventive oncology and integrative oncology. He completed his MBBS in surgery from Sri Devaraj Urs Medical College, Bangalore (2012) and MD in internal medicine from JSS Medical College, Mysore, Karnataka (2015). He also holds a fellowship in medical oncology (DM) from Vydehi institute of Medical sciences, Bangalore (2019) along with a certification in ECMO. Prior to joining Aster Hospitals, Dr. Vivek was working as a consultant at Sri Shankara Cancer Hospital and Research Centre, Bangalore.

• Co-authored an original research paper – ‘Estimation of Vit B12 and Vit D levels in Type2 DM patients on Metformin.’ Published in IJSR Vol 4, Issue 2 February 2015.
• Won 1st place for best original research – “Chronic Mesenteric ischaemia in patients with Type 2 Diabetes mellitus” at All India physicians annual conference in January 2016 at Hyderabad, India.
• Won 3rd place for All India Oncology fellow s quiz on colorectal cancer – November 2017
• Co-authored a paper – “ Role of pre-operative CA 125 levels in predicting the DFS and OS in epithelial ovarian cancer”, published in IJRCOG, January 2018
• Certified with ECMO after clearing the ESMO exam in September 2019
• Co-authored a paper Chronic Mesenteric ischaemia in patients with Type 2 Diabetes mellitus published in November 2021 in IJSR vol 10, issue 11
