About Dr. R. Ravi

Dr. R. Ravi is one of the best gastroenterologists at Dr. Rela Institute & Medical Centre, an International Medical facility. He has rich experience in the management of advanced and complex GI conditions like GI bleeding, obstructive jaundice, and pancreatic disorders. Also, he has performed over 7000 ERCPs to date and is an expert in EUS and Third space endoscopy (POEM, ESD, EMR). He is known for his kindness to his patients and professionalism in his work.

Dr. R. Ravi completed his MBBS at Stanley Medical College, India, and several years later, he gained MD in general medicine and DM in gastroenterology at the same Medical College, where he began his medical career.

In addition to his work, Dr. R. Ravi published several articles in national and international journals. His talent and kindles with patients have shown that he competent and skilled specialist that always works hard to make sure to get high results.

Clinical Expertise

• An expert in ERCP procedures completed about 10000 ERCPS including Biliary and Pancreatic endotherapy, cholangioscopy and large stone management with laser lithotripsy
• An expert in interventional EUS procedures like FNA, FNB acquisition, EUS guided biliary drainage, Cystogastrotomy, Coeliac plexus block
• Wide experience in endoscopic management of pancreatic necrosis including endoscoopic necrosectomy for walled off pancreatic nerois and direct endoscopic necrosectomy
• Skilled to perform 3rd space endoscopy procedures like POEM, ESD and STER
• Has extensive experience in management of GI bleeding including EVL, EST, OVESCO
• Cipping and EUS guided coiling of fundal varix.
• Interested in cancer palliation and does esophageal stenting, colonic stenting, duodenal stenting and biliary SEMS stenting
• Faculty in all National Conferences on ERCP and EUS workshops
• He has been involved in training many gastro doctors in interventional procedures
