Dr Karanjit Singh Narang is an accomplished Neurosurgeon trained at AIIMS (All India Institute of Medical Sciences). At AIIMS he was a researcher for the project- Improving Outcomes for Head Injuries.
At Safdarjang Hospital, Dr Karanjit introduced disc replacement surgery and complex spine surgery, endoscopic neurosurgery, endoscopic pituitary surgeries, complex skull base procedures and surgery for brachial plexus injuries. He pursued fellowship in advanced spine surgery from ‘International Group for Advancement in Spinal Sciences’ at Department of Neurosurgery, Munich Technical University, Munich, Germany.
At Wooridul Spine Hospital, Seoul, Korea he had exposure to latest techniques applied to minimally invasive spine surgeries.
As a Spine surgeon at Medanta he performs minimally invasive spine surgery, endoscopic spine surgery and treatment of degenerative spine and complex spine fixation. He also offers options of vertebroplasty/ kyphoplasty for osteoporotic spine fractures, spinal metastasis to relieve spine pain without surgery. With his multidisciplinary approach, he also offers spine physiotherapy and option of injections like facet blocks, root blocks, radiofrequency ablation for backache and neck pain.
He has vast experience in performing brain tumor surgeries using cutting edge technology of BRAINSuite® with advanced navigation, Miyabi concept first in Asia pacific region. Dr Karanjit has used ALA dye for malignant brain tumors, one of the maximum numbers in the country.
This neurosurgeon also taken a lead in ensuring quality systems to improve and establishing best quality parameter for patient care in the Institute and has been awarded as Quality Champion for NABH. He also is the core team member for clinical audit and Brain death committee.
Dr Karanjit has international publications to his name and has presented papers in various National and International conferences.
