    Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Cancer Research Institute in Kolkata, West Bengal, India

    Himadri Memorial Cancer Welfare Trust, a non-governmental, non -profitable and charitable public trust, was established in August 2004 with the mission of providing comprehensive cancer care at an affordable cost for the middle and lower-middle-class people of West Bengal as well as other states of Eastern India by a group of Doctors. The trust has a registration u/s12AA (Vide No. DIT(E)/T-153/8E/193/04-05 dated28.3.2005) under the IT act 1961.

    Under the supervision of Himadri Memorial Cancer Welfare Trust, Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Cancer Research Institute (NCRI) was built and started its operation at 16A Park Lane, Kolkata 700016, West Bengal in August 2004. Since then all the fellow doctors and the other staff of the institute have devoted themselves to provide the best services in all aspects to the community and fight against cancer.

    Seeing their endless efforts and commitment, the Government of West Bengal, Land and Land Reforms Department has kindly allowed one acre of land to develop a modern Cancer Hospital in Eastern India. An absolutely new modern hospital is built under the name “Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Cancer Hospital”.

    They have shifted the entire establishment from 16-A, Park Lane, Kolkata 700016 to new premises at “Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Cancer Hospital”, 3081, Nayabad, New Garia, Kolkata 700094 and started its operation with 101 bedded treatment and research Institute from 1st June 2018. The newly built hospital is meant for advanced cancer care with all necessary and modern equipment, operation theatre, pathological lab treatment facilities and research laboratories.

    The Institute is empanelled for Prime Ministers’ National Relief Fund (PMNRF) vide No: 82[24931]/2008-PMF-II dated 04th August 2009. The trust “Himadri Memorial Cancer Welfare Trust “has got registration of (Foreign Contribution Regulation Act (FCRA) 1976, Ministry of Home Affairs, Govt. of India.

    NCRI has completed 15 successful Bone Marrow Transplants (BMT) and Cord Blood Transplants in the Eastern part of India since 2008, for patients suffering from Acute Myeloid Leukemia, Fancony Anaemia, Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, Beta Major Thalassemia, Diamond Blackfan syndrome, Aplastic Anemia and Neuroblastoma. NCRI successfully performed more than 20 HIPEC Operations in past 2 years. We are the first centre in Eastern India to perform successful PIPAC Surgery for the first time.
